Still on its original site of 1937 in Henderson, West Auckland, Lincoln today produces fine classic varietal wines and ranks as one of New Zealand's most successful family wineries. Led by Peter Fredatovich, the third generation to produce Lincoln wines, the winery has made the successful transition from traditional artisan to modern producer of outstanding New Zealand cool climate wine styles. Grapes come predominantly from the Gisborne, Te Kauwhata and Marlborough regions and from the four hectare "Home Vineyard" block adjoining the winery which is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc play a pivotal role in the Lincoln portfolio, as does an impressive selection of premium red wines.
