After a 3 year search of the Napa Valley for the perfect location, Ric purchased the current winery/vineyard site in 1978. It is perched on a ridge at the base of Howell Mountain overlooking the town of St. Helena. Inspired by Bordeaux, Ric's philosophy of winemaking follows more of a traditional, European approach, with finesse and elegance the watchwords. He has fulfilled his dream of producing small quantities of classically made Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
