The 2003 vintage will be remembered for the devastating New Zealand wide frosts in the spring of 2002. This resulted in diminished crops which are expressed in wines of great concentration and structure, creating elegant ripe tannins and an appealing length of flavour. Ripe berry fruits combine beautifully with hints of fennel and feral flavours.
Inspired by the classic wines of Burgundy, this Pinot Noir is a tribute to Martinborough's unique terroir. It will cellar gracefully for up to ten years.
